When I read back the description of the plot so far, I keep thinking that this sounds like a great book. ![]()

They have a sort of general appeal to anyone who is a worried parent or has a difficult relationship with their own parents. Maggie's digging and Allison's desperate bid for survival race against each other, until it all comes together at the climax. Meanwhile, Allison's perspective instantly reveals that she is not actually dead but running from a mysterious someone. Maggie learns that her estranged daughter Allison died in a plane crash with her fiance and attempts to piece together the last couple years of her life. That being said, this can be forgiven if you just sit back and enjoy the ride, which is admittedly a fun and easy one. Most of the plot is fairly easy to predict and the one promised "twist" felt a lot more like deus ex machina to me.
